Just how strong is a Mono Vault?

We headed up to our Redneck Laboratory^© with some factory seconds to find out.

Needless to say... Don't try this at home!!

Test #1: 212s vs 440 Dodge Ramcharger.

a 212s, a little sand for a flat base, and a ramp

lining up...

The 212s is cool as a cucumber.

Never broke a sweat.

A standard wall Mono Vault standing up to abuse.

We need a bigger truck.

The aftermath. Kinda boring.

Lid turned off easily with gasket intact.

Well, that was fun...

Test #2: 107s vs Backhoe Loader?

Ready....

...set.....

...Go! notice the front tire off the ground! Sorry about the shadow.

Opened up and with Lid gasket intact.

Decided to teach this show-off a thing of two. notice how the 107s is pressed into the road mix.

Appears to still be o.k.....

Opens up fine and with the lid gasket intact!

Some distortion of the burial shield but looks like any contents would have fared well!

Test #3: How about a 130s vs the Backhoe?

A 130s reject waiting to prove its worth.

Any questions?

After testing. The spots on the burial shield were already there...the reason it was volunteered.

...and the lid gasket still intact.

So what has all this fun got to do with anything? At a gun show we can hand you a burial shield that you can bruise your knuckles on to see how tough the Mono Vault is. On the internet, we can't do that. What we can do is play with some big boy toys in an attempt to show you what we mean by tough.
